Breaking: New Sketch of Volkswagen’s NMS released!
Thu, Feb 12, 2009

Just moments after Stirling broke the news about the details on the upcoming Passat, we found a sketch of Volkswagen’s upcoming New Mid-size Sedan (NMS) designed specifically for the North American market. These design considerations include larger seats, more cupholders, and lots of standard equipment. We should expect to see the NMS (or whatever it ends up being named) sometime in 2010.
It is not clear at this time if this is the same vehicle as the upcoming Passat for our market or if there will be an addition to VW’s current sedan range. One thing we know is that the new NMS will be made at VW’s new American facility in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
I must say that this sketch wouldn’t look out of place if it were previewing the new Audi A8, so I’m expecting good things for this vehicle. Stay tuned for more details as they break.
