F1 News: FIA and FOTA Cost-Capping Dispute Letters Leaked!

Following a leak of letters sent back and forth between FOTA and the FIA, the FIA has officially posted the entire exchange on its website for all to see.

Mosley’s letter is notable not only for its brevity, but also for its rather extreme level of supercilious snippiness. While it’s obviously true that it takes two (at least) to have a fight, it is the opinion of this writer at least that Mosley isn’t at all interested in compromise. Whether or not that will actually be “a pity,” as they say, remains to be seen; no one can be sure at this point what will happen when and/or if a second F1-level-and-type-of-racing series does end up forming.

One other question, of course, does come to mind: why, after all that’s gone on during his tenure, is Mosley still in charge? The mind, it boggles.
