Preview: 2010 Volvo S60

News

Volvo has released two images of the production ready S60. Luckily for us, it actually looks like the concept, longboats and all… apparently. OK, so It’s not quite as pointy in most places, which is really a shame, but overall it does look quite nice. Volvo says that “Customers in this segment want emotional appeal, sporty design and dynamic driving properties” and that “the S60 has it all” which to me reads: “bring it, BMW.” Apart from improved driving dynamics, one of the highlights of the incoming S60 is going to be the optional Pedestrian Detection, which apparently utilizes black magic, integrated elves stolen from Santa’s workshop, and perhaps a little technology to, surprisingly, detect pedestrians in front of the car, and brake for you. All in all, Volvo just keeps getting cooler. Hit the jump for the massive two picture gallery. (Generous aren’t they?)
