Lamborghini LP 700-4 Aventador Says “Fuck You, Alberta”

Author:

It’s basically a two-middle-fingered salute to Alberta.

Ferruccio would never say that, but Stephan would.

Stephan Winkelmann is leading his company down a slippery slope, one that could lead to the destruction of Alberta as we know it.

Winkelmann has rejected the 40-year-old V12 design that dated back to the Miura, rejecting his company’s heritage in the process, and forged ahead with a new aluminum-block, direct-injected, dry-sump lubed, hunk of environmental communism.

With a weight reduction of 518 lbs and a 20% reduction in fuel consumption, the Aventador is reducing the demand for oil, driving down the price of crude, and making Alberta’s laborious, costly, and environmentally disastrous bitumen extraction look unappealing. The gall of those Italians!

The oil sands drive Alberta’s economy and the economy of the country with it. If bastions of grotesque excess like Lamborghini start a trend of lowering emissions and reducing fuel consumption, who knows where it will end! Next thing you know, Ford will be turbocharging the F-150 for fuel economy gains! If we allow this kind of arrogance to continue, our noble province will be knocked from its lofty perch atop the human race, and reduced to an economy forced to rely on human ingenuity and inventiveness rather than good fortune and raw luck.

As a proud Albertan, I ask you to take a long, hard look at these pictures. They are the faces of an evil not seen since the days of Mussolini. Like our forefathers, we must stand vigilant against these oppressive tides of change. So stand tall, stand strong, and don’t buy the Aventador no matter how much you want it.
